How about Biodegradable Plastic Mulch

With the deepening of human society's understanding of environmental issues, the only way to solve the “white pollution” caused by discarded mulch, establish an environmentally friendly society, and establish a benign interaction between human beings and the environment is to promote the application of biodegradable mulch. Among them, the development and popularization of photo-biodegradable film is particularly important, and it is also a necessary prerequisite for the development of sustainable agriculture.

Due to the use of agricultural films, the temperature and humidity of the soil are effectively controlled, the loss of water and nutrients is reduced, and high and stable crop yields are promoted, thus increasing the benefits of agricultural production.

However, at the same time, due to the one-time use of mulch film, a large amount of residual film is left in the soil every year. Plastic mulch is difficult to degrade in nature. These film fragments can form a barrier layer in the soil, blocking the flow of water, gas and fertilizer in the soil, resulting in soil structural sclerosis, seriously harming the ecological environment and causing white pollution. Therefore, to solve the problem of soil pollution by residual film has become a top priority of the mulching cultivation technology, in order to solve this problem, the research of degradable film came into being.

Degradable film is a new type of film produced to meet the needs of the society for environmental protection, and the main raw material is degradable masterbatch mixed with plastic particle masterbatch. Degradation is achieved by using microorganisms in nature to erode the film or by oxidizing the film with sunlight.
